Thomson East Coast Line: Early Closure Timing from 20 Jul – 30 Aug
SMRT Singapore has announced that Thomson East Coast line stations from Woodlands North to Woodlands South will close earlier at 9pm daily from Monday to Sunday, and start later at 6.30am every Saturday and Sunday during the period from 20 July to 30th August.
Commuters may use existing public bus services (? 169, 856, 901, 901M) to travel within Woodlands, or transfer to the North-South Line at Woodlands station to continue their travel on the rail network.
This is due to SMRT extension of engineering hours with early closures and late openings of stations on Stage 1 of the Thomson-East Coast Line (TEL1) in order to facilitate the testing of the trains and systems ahead of the Stage 2 opening at the end of the year.
