National Gallery Launches Sister Guide Programme to train migrant workers
National Gallery has announced an initiative to welcome and train foreign domestic workers as Sister Guides to lead art tours!
In partnership with Humanitarian Organisation for the Migrant Economics (HOME), Sister Guides is a programme that trains foreign domestic workers in Singapore to share their love and knowledge for art with their respective home communities.
Through this campaign, we hope to grow the Sister Guides programme so that our migrant friends in Singapore can enjoy and find solace in art. We also hope to offer more opportunities for our Sister Guides to further develop their guiding, facilitation and leadership skills and become stronger advocates in their own communities.
