As announced on its Facebook page 5 hours ago, NTUC Fairprice Finest outlet at Marine Parade is “taking advantage of the peaking durian season to give you the king of deals” offering durians starting from just $1.99 while stocks last!

The promotional price of S$1.99 per fruit applies to small and “general” durians of an undetermined cultivar. Bigger durians will also be part of the promotional offering. Depending on the thorny fruit’s size, they will be sold at three for S$10, S$20, or S$50.

However, the quality of the durian on sales under this promotion may be in doubt as we note that there have been a few FB commenters complaining about the taste and size of the durians after their purchase.

Red Prawn Durians are selling 3 for $10 while better quality durians are selling 3 for $20.
Update: There is also other sales for Red Prawn Durians selling 5 for $20, Mao Shan Wang Durians are reportedly going for $15 per kg, which is certainly one of the cheaper prices for MSW our team has seen. Long queues were reported at the scene as of 24th June, 5pm.
